The Challenge
Our Approach
Instead of a scripted narrator, we chose a documentary-style format led by real voices:
- PMRC’s CEO
- CEOs and heads from partner banks and microfinance institutions (HBL Microfinance Bank, Bank Alfalah, Meezan Bank, Bank of Punjab, Akhuwat, Thardeep Microfinance Foundation, SAFCO)
- Beneficiaries who had been able to own homes thanks to PMRC’s partnerships
- The State of Housing – Challenges and needs
- The Solutions – How PMRC and partners are helping
- The Impact – Real stories from real people
Behind the Scenes
We started with a Documentary Overview (a simple concept doc) that won quick approval from PMRC’s CEO, Mr. Mudassir H. Khan.
From there, a small, dedicated crew traveled by van from Karachi to Lahore to Islamabad, filming interviews and on-location stories. We worked on a tight budget but kept the visuals cinematic and professional.
The Result
- Premiered at PMRC’s annual stakeholders conference in Islamabad
- Received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the client and audience
- Was delivered two weeks ahead of the event
- Provided extra footage for PMRC’s annual report
Why This Project Matters
For CP Films, this wasn’t just another corporate job. It proved we can:
- Deliver national-scale productions on a tight timeline
- Work efficiently with a small crew and limited resources
- Tell human-centered stories that move policy conversations forward
This project has become a turning point in our portfolio and a reminder of what’s possible with focus, planning, and the right team.
